About the Act

India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 sets rules for how organisations handle the digital personal data of individuals in India. It gives individuals, called Data Principals, certain rights over their data.

Rights of a Data Principal

  • To obtain a summary of the personal data processed about you and how it is used.
  • To ask for correction and erasure of your personal data.
  • To have a route for grievance redressal.
  • To nominate another person to exercise rights on your behalf in certain situations.

How this website handles personal data

This website collects personal data when you contact us, for example your name and email address, and only with your agreement on the form. Optional analytics are off unless you allow them, and you can withdraw that consent at any time on the Cookie settings page. See the Privacy and Cookie pages for detail.

We use personal data only for the purpose you gave it for. You can ask us to correct or erase it, or raise a grievance, by choosing Data request on the contact form.

This page describes our approach and is updated as the Act and its rules come into force. It is not a statement of certified compliance.

Making a request or raising a concern

Email hello@brandwaterai.in with the subject line Data request. Tell us which right you want to use and how we can verify it is you.

We reply to confirm what we can do and by when.
